Drakey's Story

Meet Drake: A Low-Riding Meatball with Big Opinions

If you've ever wished for a dog who is equal parts teddy bear and He-Man then congratulations-Drake is your guy.

At 3 years old, Drakey is in his prime of life and has mastered the art of being both a lovable goofball and an inquisitive young pup with the wisdom of a dog who has lived through more than most at his age.

Drake has opinions-about where he should walk, what time dinner should be served, and whether or not that mysterious object in the corner has been there all along (it hasn't). He approaches life with the energy of a guy who drinks Mountain Dew for breakfast, and his idea of a pre-movie night ritual is zooming full speed across your living room before flopping over like a beached seal.

Here's the good news: Drake is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and even muzzle-trained for vet visits (because, like many of us, he has strong feelings about the doctor). He's also a playful dude who enjoys the company of confident, tolerant dogs-or, alternatively, ruling his kingdom as the only pet in the house.

Drake thrives with patient, experienced adopters who like a lot of personality in their pup. He's best suited for a home with kids 12+, because his zoomies are enthusiastic, and his snuggles are more of a full-body tackle than a gentle lean. He also has some allergies, but they're easily managed with meds, a special diet, and the occasional soothing spa treatment (which he tolerates begrudgingly and with many many treatos).

Drakey's dog walker volunteer recently shared: "Drakey is an absolute dreamboat. He's equal parts handsome and hilarious, and I can't help but adore this lovable little frat boy.

He's incredibly responsive to training and does a great job checking in with his person. Even when he's deep into investigating every interesting smell, he'll catch himself, refocus, and come right back to you. It's really fun to watch him think things through.

He's a fantastic passenger in the car and is happiest with room to roam. Drakey is definitely a country boy at heart. Give him open fields, green pastures, and plenty of space to explore, and he's in heaven.

He's also famously a vegetarian, surprisingly strong, just a little lazy when the mood strikes, endlessly funny, and ridiculously cute.

Drakey isn't a beginner's dog but for an experienced owner who appreciates a dog with personality, intelligence, and a goofy sense of humor, he's something special. I truly believe his perfect family is out there, and when they find him, they're going to wonder how they ever lived without him."

If you're looking for a best friend, Drake is ready to move in, take over your couch, and steal your heart (and maybe your snacks). Apply to meet him today-you won't regret it.

Be sure to check out Drakey's video!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMj_wADhWEE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ADOPTION DISCLAIMER: At Perfectly Paired Pitties (P3), we aim to provide accurate information about all of our animals to the best of our abilities.
