Draco's Story

While his name might lead you to think this guy is on the dark side, his personality is nothing but light and silliness! Draco is ALL French Bulldog and finds ways to make you smile every moment! He was recently released to us from a breeding kennel and while he's still building some confidence on living life outside of a concrete run, he's taking it all in stride!

Draco is 3.5 years old and currently a great weight at 26lbs. He's a solid guy and loves to run in the yard, chase toys (especially balls!) and roll in the mud. He's of course mastered the famous Frenchie "sploot" and doesn't miss a beat when it comes to being a part of the action. He bonds quickly with his humans and has made a very important realization: life outside of a kennel is the life he wants! He is a constantly happy, smiling boy who loves to give his favorite people some kisses and his paw. He's got energy to burn when there's fun to be had but of course loves his time being a classic couch potato. His foster mom says he is excellent about napping at her feet while she works from home and awaits their evening walk.

In typical Frenchie fashion, Drac makes friends everywhere he goes. He's done wonderfully with every dog he's met but also, true to form, tends to tell other dogs who are super energetic and in his face how to act right. That Frenchie attitude doesn't mess around! He is fantastic with cats and currently lives in a foster home with several. He adores humans and is a gentle guy with an affinity for being the class clown. He has had some accidents in his foster home, which is not atypical for a dog that has lived their whole life in a run and not a home. He is catching on quickly and his neuter will greatly help any marking issues. Draco did have some metal fragments on his teeth, indicating he spent a lot of time chewing on the metal doors or sides of his enclosure, desperate to be let out. Given this, we aren't surprised that a crate is not the first place he wants to be. His foster mom has also been working with him on short, positive time in the crate so that he has a safe place to be when she has errands to run. However, he is MUCH happier sleeping next to his human at night or tagging along wherever the next adventure may be! Draco is such a special boy and has SO much love to give! He will make an excellent companion for someone who wants a smaller buddy to take along. We know he will learn the new routine quickly and take all the spoiling when his perfect family finds him!

Draco's adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, heartworm/tick borne illness testing, vaccines, dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. We can't get enough of this guy; to meet him is to love him! Please reach out to us with any questions about our handsome Drac or fill out an adoption application!

Save Them All Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All adopters are required to complete an adoption application. In order for an adoption application to be approved, we require all pets in the home to be up to date on core vaccines (distemper and rabies) as well as flea, tick, and heartworm preventative. We do our best to match each animal with their perfect family. While some adopters may apply for a certain animal, they may not be the right fit for that animal's needs. We work closely with our adopters and want to act as a resource after adoption to make sure all transitions go smoothly.
