Dozier's Story

DOZIER is a super cute 1 year old who came to us from a BYB that was in way over her head. Due to the environment he was in, Dozier has not had much socialization. He is very sweet but is not sure of the big world out there. Dozier has been in a foster home for about 7 weeks and has come along way. A future adopter still has to realize that he will need time and patience to adapt to new surroundings and people. Dozier seems to do better with females (needs more time to warm up to males) and loves the company of his 4 legged furry next door neighbor. Dozier currently lives with pre school age children and is doing great with them. He also lives with a cat but they are kept separated.
Dozier came to us with skin issues that are thought to be flea allergy dermatitis which we are treating. We have also gotten him updated on vaccines, HW prevention, microchipped and he is neutered.
Dozier is gaining confidence every day but would still benefit from a home where the humans are home most of the time and realizes Dozier's special needs. He would also do best in a home with another dog.
Our typical service area for adoption is Southeast Florida...Broward, Miami and Palm Beach counties.
