Dough's Story

Dough named because she is soft and sweet might not be a fancy or unique and that is ok. Dough was sitting very quietly at animal control when we first met. Among all the other dogs vying for attention or a second look, she sat.. she sat quietly and just looked at us. With a little sigh, she turned and laid down.. almost defeated, she must have thought "they wont pick me"...

We did pick her. Her eyes, her calmness. What you won't see is the extreme neglect that she came to us with. No prior vet care had allowed a sweet dog to develop a terrible yeast infection, no spay had caused mammary tumors, overgrown mails, bad teeth, you know... the whole nine

Now she is feeling much better, her infections are clearing, her teeth are terrific, her skin is healing.

When we first saw her, we said... "that's a good dog". She is.

Dough is excellent in the car, loves going along for adventures, superb on a leash. She sleeps through the night, is house and crate trained. DoughDough as we call her is fine with other dogs and can be with or without others. Cats, she seems to be too interested in and do not advise an unsavy cat home.

Doughs favorite thing is really snuggling. She does not ask for much and she is very appreciative of nice things, like fluffy blankets or a pile of pillows. A walk with the chance to rub in the grass? Yes, please

If you are looking for an excellent side kick who doesn't make a lot of noise or much fuss about anything, she is your gal.

Dough is likely a lab/beagle? mix.... She is about 6yrs old and 40lbs
