Doug's Story

Are you looking for a happy, athletic pup who is always ready for the next adventure? Then you need to meet Doug!
Doug is a handsome 1-year-old American Staffordshire mix, possibly with some Australian Kelpie in his family tree. He weighs 51 pounds and is one of those dogs who wakes up every morning ready to see what fun the day has in store!
Doug LOVES the great outdoors! He enjoys running, playing, and happily chasing birds around the yard. If you're looking for a companion for walks, runs, hikes, or outdoor adventures, Doug is always ready to grab his leash and GO!
Doug does ok on a leash (He does pull) and has excellent recall, making him a great candidate for supervised off-leash time on your property. He is attentive, eager to stay close to his people, and we think he could make an amazing farm dog or wonderful companion for someone with a little room to roam.
But don't let his adventurous side fool you—when the fun is over, Doug knows how to settle down and relax inside. He is housebroken and loves being part of the family. After a day of running and playing, he's perfectly happy to kick back and enjoy some downtime with his people.
And here's the best part... Doug is great with other dogs, cats AND children!
Doug is the whole package:
Friendly
Loyal
Athletic
Playful
Housebroken
Great with dogs
Good with cats
Great with children
Always ready for an adventure!

If you're looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who can keep up with you outdoors but is just as happy relaxing at home with his family, Doug could be your perfect match!
Doug is waiting for that special family to give him the forever home he deserves.
