Dottie's Story

Dottie #1036

Age: 1 year old

Color & Breed: Lemon/White Basset/Beagle

Gender: Spayed Female

Weight: 32 pounds

When life gives you lemon (bassets), make lemonade and adopt one! Dottie #1036 is all sweet, no sour. This 1-year-old bagel (beagle/basset) was found as a stray and is ready to live the good life in a forever home.

There’s nothing Dottie doesn’t like (although she prefers her bevvies on the rocks—like most hounds, she doesn’t love how noisy blenders can be!) She’s crated when her foster family is gone and is housetrained when they’re home. She likes to walk with her pink nose to the ground. You’re on Dottie’s walk, and she wants to show you the way.

This playful young hound would adapt well to any kind of home. She’d be okay as an only dog but would also love a new playmate to get out the zoomies. We are told there were also cats in her past foster home.

Add some zest to your life by applying for Dottie at https://www.mnbassetrescue.com/adoption

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises. We accept applications from within the following areas: all of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and other applicants within a 8 hour radius of our headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

Minnesota Basset Rescue (MNBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue based in Minnesota. MNBR rehomes dogs from owners who can no longer provide their care and rescues dogs from local pounds and shelters. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help hounds live a healthy and happy life.
