Hi there! My name is Dottie, and I'm a charming Australian Shepherd with a heart as big as the Outback! I'm about three years old, and life has already thrown me curve balls. My story began in the depths of the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, where I was left chained up to a wire link fence, abandoned and alone. But thanks to the kindness of some incredible souls, I found my way to this wonderful animal rescue where I've been patiently waiting for my forever home. To those I've grown comfortable with, I'm the epitome of a loyal companion. I'm friendly, protective, and oh-so-playful! You'll often find me flipping my toys onto my back, showing off my playful spirit. I'm smart, independent, and I have a funny bone that's sure to bring a smile to your face. Once I'm comfortable and know you're my person, I love getting and giving kisses. Don't worry, if you stop petting me, I'll give your hand a gentle nudge to remind you to keep the love coming! Forgotten Coast Animal Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Forgotten Coast Animal Rescue, inc. attempts to work with everyone who is interested in adopting an animal and giving it a new forever home, however FCAR does reserve the right to refuse an adoption application for reasons including, but not limited to: falsified information on application, current identification and address cannot be verified or if the adoption is not in the best interest of the animal and the adopter. If a potential adopter is interested in scheduling an appointment to see our animals, we ask to submit an adoption application first. We will review their application and contact the applicant within 48 hours to set up an appointment. We work with all interested parties on a first-come-first-served basis. Pet Adoption Requirements • 18 years of age with a current Drivers License or ID • Proof of current address - Drivers License, Utility Bill, Mail, Car Insurance, etc. • Landlord approval if you rent - please verify with your landlord what breed or size restrictions may be in place. • Permission of all adults living at the residence • Current Licensed Veterinarian contact information for reference • Other animals residing with you must be current on vaccinations and dogs must be on heart worm prevention.
