Dorothy's Story
Three little Chiweenie sisters-Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche-find themselves searching for a new beginning after being abandoned together. Fortunately, a kind-hearted person stepped in and cared for them until space became available at the shelter.

Now estimated to be about 1 years old, these Golden Girls are hoping their next chapter includes a family of their very own.

Like many Chiweenies, all three girls can be a little nervous when faced with new people, places, and experiences. They're somewhat vocal about their feelings, a bit cautious at first, and still adjusting to shelter life. Once they realize you're a friend, though, they're happy to accept gentle affection and handling. They aren't difficult dogs-just sensitive souls trying to make sense of a world that has been a little unpredictable lately.

Each sister has her own unique personality, but they share the same wish: a patient home where they can feel safe, loved, and understood. We suspect that once they're settled into a routine, they'll spend far less time worrying and far more time enjoying the good life.

Blanche does have a cherry eye that will be evaluated by a veterinarian on Tuesday so a treatment plan can be made. While it gives her a unique look, it doesn't define her, and it certainly shouldn't stand in the way of finding a loving home.

Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche have already proven they'll stick together through tough times. Now they're hoping someone will give them the chance to discover what every Golden Girl deserves-a comfortable home, good friends, and a happy ending.
