Doris's Story

Doris
6 years old
Spayed Female
Australian Shepherd
45-50lbs

Doris is another pup who's waited far too long to find her forever family! She was originally rescued from a puppy mill and is now living her best life in foster. The only thing that’s missing is a forever family to call her own! She LOVES car rides, snow, squeaky toys, couch cuddles, and walks. She has short bursts of energy where she zooms and plays fetch but then happily settles down for a cuddle. She would be perfect for someone wanting an Aussie without the over the top herding breed energy. She could even be suitable for apartment living with daily walks - she is a true unicorn Aussie!

- Dog friendly, loves to play!
- Crate trained but not needed
- 100% potty trained, uses bell to ask to go out
- Walks great on a leash, fenced yard not required
- LOVES all people, incredibly friendly
- Sleeps in bed with her foster mom
- Previous farm dog - great with livestock!
- No cats please

If you’re interested in adopting Doris please complete an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt
Long distance adoptions considered, must travel to us in the Buffalo, NY area for a meet and greet.

*Please keep in mind that it is time consuming for our volunteers to process applications.
