Donut's Story

Meet Donut, a delightful female dog with a name as sweet as her personality. With her playful nature and loving demeanor, she is ready to bring joy and laughter into your life. Donut is a medium-sized dog, weighing approximately 22 pounds, and is seeking her forever home.

Donut's foster parents describe her as a playful and loving companion. She adores spending time with people and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Her intelligence shines through, as she is easily trainable and quick to pick up new commands. Donut loves toys, especially rope toys, and enjoys playing fetch with her human friends.

This spirited pup is housebroken and has shown excellent manners, never having accidents indoors. She is also crate trained and willingly enters her crate with the help of a treat. Donut's friendly disposition extends to children, men, and new people, making her a versatile and sociable companion.

On walks, Donut may occasionally pull on the leash, but she responds well to corrections. While she shows a mild interest in squirrels and rabbits, she can be easily redirected, indicating a moderate prey drive. Donut has already mastered some basic commands but could benefit from further training, particularly in heel and not jumping.

In terms of her preferences, Donut enjoys being around people at all times and loves spending time on the couch, chewing on her toys. She has a healthy appetite and is currently fed a diet of 3/4 cup of food twice a day.

She would thrive in a household with another young dog of similar size for playful companionship. A fenced yard would be a bonus, as she loves playing fetch and basking in the sun. Donut's playful energy and affectionate nature make her an excellent fit for families with children.

Don't miss the chance to welcome Donut, your dream foster dog, into your home. She is a delightful addition to any family and will bring boundless love and happiness.

We ask for a "I am furever home" picture to post to our website after each dog has been adopted! ** We are NOT adopting to MA or ME residents at this time! Thank you!
