Dolly (Jax)'s Story

**Fostered in Jacksonville, Florida**

Meet Dolly!

3–4 Years Old Professional Sunbather Poolside Princess

Dolly has been through a lot of changes in her young life, and she’s still waiting for the one thing she deserves most: a person who won’t give up on her.
Found as a stray in Jacksonville, Dolly has been adopted and returned to JAX Humane multiple times so they reached out to us to find her forever home. Now, this sweet girl is looking for a patient, loving person who understands that sometimes the best things take a little time and alot of training. She needs someone who will give her grace while also providingstructure, consistency, and boundaries that help her succeed.

At home, Dolly is a pretty calm girl who appreciates the finer things in life: sunshine, naps, and lounging on a pool sunshelf like she’s at a five-star resort. She absolutely loves the pool! And when she has a dog friend to play with, her playful side comes out, and things can get a little wild.

Dolly does have some kennel-related trauma, so she’s working on building positive associations with her kennel and learning that she’s safe. She’s also practicing her leash manners and learning to stay calm when she spots other dogs and squirrels on walks. Right now, those exciting sights can turn her into a very enthusiastic, vocal commentator! She’ll need someone willing to continue working with her patiently and consistently.

Dolly isn’t looking for a perfect person, and she isn’t a perfect dog. She’s looking for someone who sees her potential, celebrates her progress, and understands that trust is built one day at a time. She would do best in a home without children or older Dane savy children.

If you have a loving heart, a little patience, and room in your life for a pool-loving, sun-worshipping girl who just wants her chance at forever, Dolly might be your girl.

Her next chapter deserves to be her last stop. Let's help Dolly find her forever!

Dolly is vetted, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is heartworm positive and has been treated with a month long round of doxcycline and a ProHeart 6 injection.

Her adoption fee is $350. To apply to adopt, please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt.

Please note: NWFLGDR does not transport. All approved adopters are required to pick up the dog in person from his/her foster parent's home.

Our Great Danes require a sturdy fenced in yard, particularly young or active danes. Generally, a six-foot or higher privacy fencing is preferred. Under no circumstances will we consider invisible or electric fencing as acceptable. 6. We only adopt Dogs as indoor pets. We will not adopt Dogs to be used as guard dogs or to be kept out-of-doors. 7. A home visit is required for ALL adoptions, without exception.
