Dolly's Story

Dolly is a 5-year-old Poodle looking for a loving home where she can finally experience the life she deserves. Unlike your typical dog who grew up in a home, Dolly spent years as a mill mom, used for breeding and having litter after litter. Thankfully, those days are behind her, and she will never have to go through that again.

Despite everything she has endured, Dolly remains the sweetest girl. She can still be frightened at times, so she will need a patient and understanding family willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Dolly would do best in a calm, adult-only home without children, where she can decompress, build confidence, and learn what it means to be loved.

She does great going potty outside and has the potential to make an amazing companion for someone willing to give her a chance. Dolly deserves to know that life is about more than just surviving. She deserves soft beds, gentle affection, peaceful days, and someone who will show her that she is finally safe.

Dolly has already given so much throughout her life. Now, it is her turn to be loved. Could you be the person who gives this sweet girl her second chance?

Dolly is vet-checked, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed.

Interested in adopting Dolly?

For more information, please email us at info@rootrescue.org or visit www.rootrescue.org. Root Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process Application Review: Potential adopters submit an adoption application. We carefully review it to ensure the home can meet the needs of both the dog or cat and the family. Virtual Meeting & Home Check: We set up a virtual meeting where we meet all family members who will interact with the new pet. During this step, we ask questions, review the home environment, and allow the family to meet the pet virtually. In-Person Meet & Greet: We conduct an in-person visit with all family members and current pets (if any). This ensures the dog or cat is comfortable with the family, and that any existing pets are compatible with the new addition. Final Decision & Placement: After assessing the interactions and overall fit, we make a final adoption decision. If approved, the new pet goes to their forever home.
