Dolly- Blind senior hoping to be your girl's Story

Hi, I’m Dolly.

I’m a 10-year-old, 13-pound little white Shih Tzu mix with a face that’s seen a whole lot of life.

My eyes don’t work very well anymore. I’m mostly blind. My ears aren’t what they used to be either. But my little heart? Oh, that still works just fine.

I had surgery to remove mammary masses and I will be ready for adoption soon. We don’t know what my future holds or how much time I have left.

I know. I’m probably not the dog most people are searching for.

I’m not a fluffy little puppy with years and years ahead of me. I’m an old gal with some medical baggage and a few parts that don’t work quite right anymore.

But I promise, I’m still worth loving.

I don’t need fancy toys or long adventures. I’d just like a soft bed, gentle hands, a warm lap, and someone who doesn’t mind repeating themselves. Preferably loudly.

Maybe we could watch TV together. Well, you could watch. I’ll just enjoy knowing you’re close.

I’m not looking for someone to give me forever. I’m looking for someone to make whatever time I have left feel like forever.

Maybe that’s months. Maybe it’s years. We just don’t know.

What we do know is that I deserve to spend that time being somebody’s cherished little girl.

Rescue Coop is hoping there’s a special kind of hero out there. Someone who can look past my age, my cloudy eyes, and my medical needs and see a little soul who still deserves her happily ever after.

Could you be my hero?

Love,
Dolly

P.S. I may not be able to see you very well, but I sure hope you’ll see me.

My adoption fee is half sponsored so just $100.

RescueCoop.org

I had surgery to remove mammary masses and I will be ready for adoption soon. We don’t know what my future holds or how much time I have left.

I know. I’m probably not the dog most people are searching for.
