Dolly's Story

Dolly is a beautiful pointer mix with one of the sweetest souls you'll ever meet. She is a lovebug, The kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She'll curl up beside you, settle into your lap, and soak in every bit of affection you're willing to give. Gentle, kind-hearted, and deeply sweet, she's the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home.

She does well with other dogs and has shown little interest in cats, making her a wonderful candidate for a multi-pet household. Her loving nature also suggests she would do beautifully with children, though she may be a bit timid for young children. Dolly can be a bit timid when encountering unfamiliar sounds and situations and there's good reason for that. At under a year old, she simply hasn't had the chance to be properly socialized, so the world still feels like a lot to navigate. Sudden noises, like fans or other household sounds, can catch her off guard. She isn't being difficult; she's just encountering things for the very first time.

What Dolly needs most is patience, consistency, and a calm environment where she can begin to understand that the world is safe. A quieter home and a steady routine will go a long way. In return, she'll give you everything she has. She has so much love to offer. She just needs someone willing to show her it's safe to let it out.
