Meet Dolly!

Jenny and Dolly are a bonded pair of super senior sweethearts. They recently moved up from Alabama after losing their owner. These girls are looking to find a home together to live out their golden years.

Jenny is a 17 year old 9 lb. Chihuahua mix and Dolly is a 15 year old 9 lb. miniature poodle, both are sweet as can be. They are a little bit on the shy side right now, so they are warming up to snuggles, but they both enjoy being in the same space with each other and their humans. They love napping on their dog beds or in their open crate with warm blankets. They will come out and about to see what your doing especially if there is food, but snuggling in their bed for naps on on the couch with you is their thing. They will go outside to potty, but have needed time to learn routines and new surroundings. Tolerance of accidents will be needed. Jenny has limited vision and Dolly is blind, but both learn their surroundings quickly. Both have been around all size older dogs and do well. They haven't met any cats or children since they arrived, but would likely do better in a quieter home with older or no children. They are both timid when meeting new people, but once you give them time to trust, they show their sweet gentle personalities!

Due to their advanced age, both have common senior medical issues.They recently were able to visit the vet and it was determined they both have several missing teeth. They have received dental work with some tooth extractions. Both did very well. Both have arthritis, but are able to get around fine in the house. Dolly may need a little help with getting down a few steps to go outside, but Jenny does well. Both are able to go up a couple steps to get on the couch next to you for some cuddles, but we don't encourage them to jump down. Dolly has some aging skin lesions treated with good grooming. They were also both determined to have a heart murmur. Despite these issues, they have continued to be sweeties and only wish to be loved.

These girls are hoping for a family to help them live out their last years together. They are hoping you are that person.

Jenny & Dolly are available through Ma Paws and Me Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. Both are spayed, microchipped, dewormed & up to date on all age appropriate vaccines. Current on flea/tick & heartworm prevention.

All Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue dogs are in homes with foster families; we do not have a shelter where dogs are available for daily viewing.

Our process is as follows:
1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/
2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
