Dobby's Story
Current location: Baltimore, MD

Meet Dobby - a gentle, easygoing boy who has truly blossomed in foster care and is showing more of his sweet, playful personality every day. In the mornings, he greets the day with excitement and wiggles, and he's even started showing his playful side with the resident dog.

One of Dobby's favorite things is going outside for walks. The moment the leash comes out, he turns into a happy wiggle butt. He loves exploring the neighborhood and especially enjoys grassy areas where he can stop and take in all the scents.

Dobby is house-trained, crate-trained, and has been incredibly quiet and well-mannered in foster care. His calm nature makes him a great fit for apartment or townhome living. After taking some time to decompress from months in the shelter, he's become a confident, affectionate companion who enjoys being part of everyday family life. He would be happiest in a quieter home with older, considerate children, though he has been nothing but calm and gentle around the younger children he has met.

Watching Dobby open up, discover playfulness, and enjoy being part of a family has been incredibly rewarding. His foster mom says: "This boy is the BEST! He is so easygoing and we've loved watching his personality come out. I joke that while I walk him with his '"Adopt Me"' leash, I should add "don't" because I'll be so sad when he leaves. Someone is going to be so lucky to have him."

*Dobby tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to rescue and completed treatment while in foster care. Heartworm disease is spread through bites from infected mosquitos and is completely preventable with monthly prevention.
