Dobby's Story

My name is Dobby, and I’m a year and a half old—a young guy with a big heart who’s still figuring out the world. The shelter can feel a little overwhelming to me, so you might notice I’m a bit nervous when we first meet. I’m trying my best, truly. My previous family loved me very much, but they knew I wasn’t thriving in a home with men, and they made the difficult, loving choice to help me find a place where I can feel safe and confident. Because of that, I’m definitely a lady’s man. Women make me feel comfortable right away, and once I trust you, my playful, goofy side comes shining through.

In the right environment, I’m a totally different dog—happy, silly, and full of energy. I love to run, chase balls, and show off my zoomies. Toys are my absolute jam. Give me a squeaky toy, a ball, or a Kong stuffed with something tasty, and I can entertain myself like a pro. I’m the kind of dog who will make you laugh with my antics and then melt your heart when I curl up nearby to relax.

What I’m hoping for is a home where I can feel understood and supported, especially by someone who knows how to help a nervous boy blossom. With patience, kindness, and a gentle touch, I’ll show you just how loyal and loving I can be. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive companion who just needs the right person to bring out his best, I’m waiting for you.
