Darling and her sister Dixie are 9monthold Great Pyrenees sweeties, that were rescued from a heartbreaking situation... After being found chained outside a small local business and ordered to be euthanized by Animal Control, a compassionate employee reached out and GRRAND stepped in just in time. These girls are already about 65lbs at only 9 months old, so please know and be prepared, they will be big girls when they are fully grown! We would love to have them adopted together, and we understand that would be a lot of floof in one home, but who doesn't love a lot of floof?! They both are very sweet and warmed up to ALL at vet including cats. They have that typical Great Pyr chill, very laid back temperament, but they are also shy and timid with all of the changes they have endured the last week or so. While at the vet, they kissed each other each time they were reunited.<br/><br/>These girls are now safe at the GRRAND kennel, settling in and beginning their new chapter. Even after everything they've endured, they remain gentle, observant, and full of that classic Pyr sweetness, and if we do say so, they are absolutely adorable! These girls are cat friendly, dog friendly and love people! They will need to go to a home with a secure above ground fenced yard, as the Great Pyrenees love to roam and patrol and this is done best in a secure and safe environment. They are just puppies, so they need a family with the time and commitment to helping them adjust to their new home and give them the exercise and direction they will need to be good puppies. In a nutshell, GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying<br/><br/> A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old <br/><br/>B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... so this means no apartments or condos<br/><br/>Apartments and condos can also be tricky for adult only households, as puppies can be whiny and loud, and may make too much noise for the neighbors as well<br/><br/>They will be looking for a home with a fenced in yard and a family with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so they can grow up to be good dogs! Exercise and direction are a must as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! Puppies have boundless amounts of playful energy and need a constant outlet for it!
