Dirk, named after the lead character in Clive Cussler's novels Dirk Pitt, is an adorable 8-week-old puppy who is learning to play tug-of-war. Like a typical puppy, he is also learning how to use the bathroom outside which he and his siblings are doing well at, except at night when it's dark and scary outside. He is weaned and has started on his vaccinations (he will have age-appropriate vaccinations as of adoption date). Before adoption, he will be chipped and neutered. He has seen other dogs and isn't bothered by them but has not met cats yet and loved on a pre-teen. The submission of the application will prompt a phone call. Once we’ve discussed the pet with you and deem a potential fit, we’ll set up a meet and greet (either virtual or in person) at which time we can also conduct a home visit. If this goes well, we will verify your references, both vet and personal (if necessary). If all checks out, we’ll contact you to discuss further adoption arrangements such as transportation. Transport costs will apply on top of the pet’s adoption fee, which varies depending on the animal.<br/><br/>We reserve the right to deny adoption.
