DIOR's Story

??? Introducing Dior — our incredibly handsome gentleman with a touch of Great Dane elegance! ??? Dior arrived at ICAS through our amazing shelter-swap program, giving long-stay pets a fresh start and a new audience of potential adopters. Sometimes a simple change of scenery is all it takes to find forever. ?? Dior’s journey has had a few twists ?? and turns ??. Originally adopted in 2022, he was returned in 2025 when his family welcomed a newborn with allergies. He quickly found another home, but returned again three months later when his new owner faced physical limitations that made caring for such a strong, large boy unsafe for both of them. It was a thoughtful, loving decision made with Dior’s best interest in mind. ?? ??Dior’s time in a home taught us SO much about him. He blossomed into an incredible house dog and learned a ton of indoor manners! ?? This clever guy knows: • Sit • Lay down • Off • Up • Hand touch • Wait (he’ll pause on walks or at stairs!) Such a smart, eager-to-please boy! ???? ?? Dior loves brain games — puzzle feeders, slow feeders, enrichment toys, you name it. He’s also learned to redirect his excited (and gentle!) mouthing to toys. What a good boy! ???? ?? Dog-Friendly? Absolutely! Dior loves playing with other dogs and thrives around them. ?? Cats? Not Dior’s preference, so he’s looking for a cat-free home. At around 75 lbs, he’s a gentle giant — surprisingly easy to walk and a total social butterfly. He loves meeting new people and appreciates a family who understands big-dog living and has room for him to stretch out. In return, he offers wonderful manners, a calm presence, and a whole lot of love for forever. ?? Let’s make ICAS Dior’s final shelter stop and help this gentle giant find the forever family he truly deserves. Come meet Dior and experience the joy of welcoming this sweet boy into your life! ???? ??430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC ?? Hours Mon–Fri: 12–5 PM Sat: 11 AM–2 PM ?? Dior (A316035) 5 years old | 76 lbs | Neutered Male ?? Adoption Fee: 8??0?? Includes: • Neuter • Microchip • UTD on vaccines/preventatives ???? Meet-and-greets with resident dogs or children are always recommended to ensure the perfect match! ?? Remember the 3-3-3 Rule When Adopting: 3 Days — to decompress 3 Weeks — to learn routines 3 Months — to feel fully at home ?? #adoptfromicas #myicasrescue
