Dilbert's Story

Meet Dilbert!

If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a heart of gold, Dilbert may be your perfect match. This sweet, goofy boy is happiest when he's close to his people, enjoying a good chew bone, a cozy bed, and plenty of companionship.

Dilbert is equal parts handsome and hilarious. Built like a gangly little pony with legs for days, he's still figuring out where all those limbs belong. New surfaces can make him a little unsure, and his awkward charm often results in an adorable stumble or splat. Whatever his past may have been, it's clear that his future is bright.

Dilbert is crate trained, housebroken, and gets along well with other dogs. He's currently learning how to live with cats and is making progress. He does have a prey drive when it comes to chickens, so he is kept on leash outdoors when they are free-ranging.

This deserving boy was rescued from a euthanasia list and given a second chance. He even had an adopter lined up, but unexpected family medical issues made the timing impossible. Through it all, Dilbert has remained the same lovable, goofy soul, patiently waiting for his forever family.

If you're ready to welcome home a devoted companion who will make you laugh every day, Dilbert is ready to meet you.

The Furry Farm Rescue's Adoption Policy
When you see an animal you would like to find out more about and meet, please go fill out our adoption application to start the process. Our adoptions are not first come first served, but a match of the needs of the animal with the best potential adopter. You can expect to hear from us within a week or two after submitting your application. With review of your application, we conduct a phone interview, check references, and speak to your veterinarian. During that process we will also schedule a time for you to come meet and get to know your new furry friend. If you have other animals, we will want to do intros at that time. We then ask you to take a few days to think about it and let us know. Next, we come to your house and do a last meet and greet before finalizing the adoption. All adopters sign a contract with the Furry Farm Rescue. All of our adoptions come with a 2 week trial period for dogs, and 1 week for cats. This allows you and your new furry friend some time to bond and decide if this is a forever family. Our Adoption fees vary between $50 to $275 for dogs, and cats are $40 to $60. Each pet’s fee will be listed in their biography.
