DIESEL's Story
MEET DIESEL!

• He’s 11 years old, currently overweight at 120 lbs but otherwise healthy, microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and is provided flea/tick/heartworm preventative,

• Good with cats, most dogs, and respectful children over ten years old.

• Leash trained - though some manners could be instilled. He enjoys riding in the car especially when it includes pup cups in a drive thru!

• Fetching a ball, searching out treats, hanging out with his dog buddy, Pebbles, claiming where he wants to sleep- no matter if someone else is already there, and checking out the other bowls to make sure he got his fair share — these are some of his favorite things!

______________________

RESCUE STORY:
This ten-year-old big boy Diesel is really special to us. After being loved and cared for his whole life, he was abandoned at the home he lived in since he was a puppy when his owner’s health deteriorated with Alzheimer’s and her family didn’t want him.

Diesel was left there to fend for himself, with limited access into the house that was, at that point, falling apart and full of junk. This was his reality for two years! During the hottest heat & the coldest freezes, thunderstorms, ice storms, and bad tornadoes he was, for all intents, alone.

In January 2024, his plight was brought to our attention & we immediately brought him into our rescue program. Though Diesel seemed to enjoy being the “mayor of Edward St.” and was pleased to be fed by a couple of caring neighbors, he needed a person or a whole family of his own! We want that for him!

Diesel deserves the best!
