LISTENS TO COMMANDS, LOVABLE, LOVES RUNNING AROUND & ROUGH HOUSING<br/><br/>DIAMOND - 6 years old, 55 pounds, house trained, playful, kid/dog friendly<br/><br/>Diamond is a gorgeous black and tan rottie girl surrendered with her canine sibling, Sapphire, when their owner lost their home.<br/><br/>She is friendly and playful, right from the start.<br/><br/>Excited to get outside and run, she glides across the grass in lively motion. She charges after tennis balls and brings them right back to you.<br/><br/>Diamond seems trained and experienced.<br/><br/>She has been given love and attention and is ready to find a new home and give and receive that love and attention once again.<br/><br/>Diamond can be trusted roaming free when left alone although she might whine a little. (She misses your company, right?!?!)<br/><br/>Diamond will growl when anyone (esp another dog) gets near her food. That's a good girl giving a warning that you are too close to her food. GOOD GIRL!<br/><br/>After knowing only one family her whole life, we are looking to find a forever home for her now.<br/><br/>Diamond is currently in a back kennel so come on in and just ask to meet her! Virginia Beach Animal Control and Adoption Center's Adoption Policy
Persons interested in adopting will submit an adoption questionnaire to initiate process. First come first served basis. Adoption Screening Criteria: Valid ID/License, Provide verification of current Residence location (lease, bills, etc.) ADOPTERS shall have no convictions of animal cruelty, failure to provide duties of ownership of animals/failure to provide adequate care, domestic violence related offenses, violent crime convictions, conditions of moral turpitude, history of protective order(s), or history of violent/aggressive behavior. Should the adopter indicate on the application that a conviction exists this will be an automatic disqualifier for adoption. Adopters who indicate that they possess more than 4 adult dogs at the time of adoption shall provide notice of a zoning variance for a kennel license. Additional questions shall be asked on the application for the purpose of identifying areas of discussion/education between shelter staff and/or volunteers and adopters.
