Diamond's Story

Diamond is a 2-year-old Doxiepoo weighing about 20 pounds, and she truly lives up to her name. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of playful sparkle and cozy calm. Want to squeeze in a midday nap? She’ll happily curl up beside you. Feeling energetic and ready for fetch? She’s already trotting over with a toy. Diamond is wonderfully go-with-the-flow and just wants to be part of whatever you’re doing.

She absolutely adores kids — especially her 2-year old foster sister, Lucy, who she thinks is the greatest invention since peanut butter. Diamond is gentle, affectionate, and happiest when she’s included in family life. She’s also perfectly content entertaining herself with her beloved stuffed toys or lounging nearby like a polite little cloud with paws. Bonus: she doesn’t get into things around the house and has excellent manners.

Diamond is house-trained and crate-trained, though she may offer a short opening performance of “Sad Puppy: The Musical” when first crated. Her true preference? Snuggling up in bed with her humans for a full night of cozy companionship. She’s a smart cookie, too, already knowing sit, shake, and lay down.

While she can be a bit submissive at first, once she feels safe her friendly, outgoing personality shines. She’s happy, adaptable, playful, and affectionate without being clingy. Want cuddles? Yes please. Need space? She’ll quietly relax nearby. She really is the best of both worlds.

If you’re looking for an easygoing, family-friendly companion who can match your energy, Diamond might just be your perfect match - she's ready to shine in her forever home!

Her minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

For information about this dog's breed(s), visit:
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm

To fill out our adoption application, go to:
http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html
