Hi it's me Diamond or DD as my mom sometimes calls me. I'm about 1-1/2 years old and 23 pounds. I'm originally from KY. The people who I thought was my family found they didn't have time for me so they surrendered me to the shelter. I was overwhelmed at the shelter so my true personality did not shine, they thought I was a shy girl. When I got off the freedom van my shyness flew out the door and I knew I could be happy here. My first foster home was expecting a shy girl so I wasn't a good match for the smaller older dogs who had no interest in playing with me. In my current foster home I have fur friends who love to run and wrestle....I am having a great time here but it's not my forever home and that's what I really want. I love to snuggle!! My favorite place is on moms lap. I can be an itch when she tells me to lay some place else and will paw a little bit until she gives in to me. I know, I'm a little bit of a brat that way. I just like to snuggle close to her and feel loved. I wasn't loved in my KY home so that is my wish for my forever home here, is for someone to love me and let me be me. Another dog friend would be awesome but if you are an active person/family I'm sure we could make it work. A secure fenced in yard is also on my wish list. Some people may look at my picture and think, oh she's not pretty enough for me. What they don't know is how pretty I am inside and what a wonderful personality I have. I have been doing all my potty business outside because we have a dog door and I quickly learned how to use it. If you don't have a dog door we will have to work on a schedule that works for me, but be assured it is doable. I must have been left outside in my KY home a lot because when I first came here I was afraid to be outside without mom. Now I know she will never lock me out. I am great with anyone who comes to visit because I love attention. I do have to work on my manners to keep the jumping bean part of me under control and keep my feet on the floor. I'm only crated when mom goes out. When she comes home I am so excited to see her no mater how long or short the time has been. When she opens my crate I am a little crazy but in a good way, telling her welcome home mom!! We have a big yard here so we aren't taken for walks, but I bet if you like to walk I will too. I may need a little help with leash training but again, everything is doable because I want to please you so you will love on me. At night time I usually sleep with mom and a few other dogs. If I can't find enough room I'm ok with finding another place to sleep.
