Diamond Shepherd & Retriever Mix Palatine, IL

Like a geode, Diamond is shy at first, but when she opens up to you, her eyes will sparkle and her tail will wag. Feed this 9-year-old Shepherd/Retriever mix bits of chicken and offer some belly rubs, and she will start to warm up. Her propellor tail gives her away!

Her favorite toy is a plush gray squirrel, and she loves to snuggle with it between her paws. When Diamond needs to sleep, she will want a couple of scratches behind her ears and motion to go into her kennel. She's very fond of her kennel and will take naps inside of it when she's sleepy. 

Since she's rather shy, Diamond doesn't interact or bark at other dogs or run after (real) squirrels. She'd be happiest in a quiet setting rather than in a busy city area. Give her some time to feel more comfortable in her new home, and she'll soon be an adorable and cuddly love-bug for her future human.
