Diamond's Story

DIAMOND (watch my video!)

Female, spayed

~ 5-1/2 years old

Pit Bull Terrier

64 lbs.

Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention

Good with dogs and kids; not good with cats

Meet Diamond — A Little Sparkle, A Lot of Personality, and a Heart of Gold!

Some dogs sparkle, but Diamond? Diamond is the whole jewelry store.

She’s goofy, affectionate, playful and just the right amount of ridiculous. She has a personality that fills a room, a tail that never seems to stop wagging and a face that makes it very difficult to say no to her. Once you meet Diamond, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be wondering how you ever lived without her.

From the moment Diamond left the shelter, she was ready for her next chapter. She hopped into the car, settled into her foster home like she’d always belonged there and got busy being the happy girl she was meant to be. Now she’s waiting for the final—and most important—piece of her story: her forever family.

Diamond is wonderfully easy to please and would fit into many types of homes. A fenced yard would be fantastic for her zoomies, but she could also happily live in a condo or apartment with daily walks. She loves getting out into the world, whether she’s exploring the neighborhood, hitting the trails, or tagging along for an adventure. She’s a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and is especially fond of kids who understand that belly rubs are a perfectly acceptable form of currency.

She’s also the perfect mix of independent and affectionate. Diamond is perfectly happy relaxing in her crate or snoozing around the house while you’re away. But when you come home? Prepare yourself. You will receive a full-body wiggle, an enthusiastic greeting and the distinct feeling that you have just returned from a 10-year expedition instead of a trip to the grocery store. Diamond has never met a human who wasn’t worth celebrating.

And then there’s playtime. Diamond LOVES to play. She loves to run, wrestle, zoom around and have fun with her doggy friends. She’s a social girl who would enjoy a canine buddy who appreciates her playful energy and can keep up with the fun. But once the zoomies have been properly exhausted, she’s happy to clock out and report for her second job: professional snuggler. She takes this position very seriously.

Diamond is smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn, which makes training fun and rewarding. And let’s be honest, everyone performs better when there are snacks involved. Diamond simply happens to be very committed to professional development.

When she’s not playing, exploring, or conducting highly important neighborhood investigations, Diamond is perfectly content stretching out in a sunny spot, snoozing around the house, or curling up with her favorite people. She doesn’t need anything fancy. She just wants to be part of the family—to go along for the adventure, hang out on the couch, and know that she has a place where she belongs.

And that’s what makes Diamond so special. She’s a true diamond in the ruff. She has come so far and discovered how much fun it is to play, how exciting the world can be, and how wonderful it feels to be loved. Now she’s ready for someone to look at this goofy, beautiful girl and say, “Yep. That’s my dog.”

She’ll bring you laughter, adventures, ridiculous zoomies, endless wiggles, loyal companionship, and a whole lot of love. All Diamond needs in return is a family who will love her, laugh with her, include her, and appreciate every wonderfully weird thing that makes her her.

Diamond has been waiting for her happily-ever-after. Maybe it’s waiting for her right now.

Diamonds are forever— can you help her find hers?

Interested in adopting?
