Dexter's Story

Nickname: Dex!

Dexter is a big boy with a big personality-and an even bigger voice to match! At 75 pounds and just 2 years old, he's a fun-loving guy with a head full of "knowledge" (and opinions about everything). He already knows sit, shake, and down, so he's got the brains to go with all that charm. Dexter also enjoys announcing himself-especially at doors-just to remind everyone that, yes, he does need you to push it open for him. He does quite down, when necessary, though, making him a fun addition. He's a funny, endearing guy who is still pretty new to us, but he's already winning people over fast-so much so that volunteers have even taken him on sleepovers! His sleepover foster said he loves to cuddle, loves blankies, pup cups, and is one of the kindest dogs she has ever met! Couldn't get a better report if we asked! Dexter would likely do well with sturdy, dog-savvy kids and has shown interest in meeting other dogs, though he hasn't joined playgroup yet due to being new to our care. Honestly, we're still wondering how no one came back for this guy-but we're not complaining, because it just means more love for us (and hopefully for you too). Dexter is ready to bring laughs, energy, and a whole lot of personality into his forever home.
