We serve the community by sheltering animals, finding them homes, investigating reports of animal cruelty, educating people of all ages, and rescuing animals from threatening situations.

Adoption Policy

When you adopt a pet from The Humane Society, your adoption fee covers a number of vaccinations, plus spay/neuter costs. Here are the fees and what you get for them: Every Adoption of a Dog Includes: Rabies Vaccination (if age appropriate) Distemper (Includes Parvo/Adenovirus/Parainfluenza Vaccination) Bordetella Vaccination Deworming Flea Preventative Spay or Neuter (if age appropriate) Free Veterinary Visit at Participating Vet’s Offices Microchip Fees as follows: Spayed/Neutered Dogs: $230 Dogs (over 6 years of age): $150 25% off for Veterans and Military Senior Adopters, adopting dogs over 6 years old: 1/2 Off above *Puppy and Un-altered dog adopters receive $35 once the dog is altered.
