Meet Detour!<br/><br/>Detour is a 1-year-old, 7-pound Chihuahua mix who took a little... well, detour through life before finding his way to rescue! This tiny guy was found wandering the streets of Cleveland, but now he’s ready to trade the streets for a soft bed, warm home, and a forever person to follow everywhere!<br/><br/> - Lover Boy Alert!: Detour is an absolute cuddle bug who loves being close to his people. Once he settles in, his favorite place is right beside you!<br/> - Your New Little Shadow: If you’re looking for a personal assistant who follows you from room to room, Detour has the job description covered!<br/> - Kids Unknown: We haven’t had the opportunity to see how Detour feels about little humans yet.<br/> - Cats Unknown: We haven’t had the chance to see how Detour feels about feline friends yet.<br/> - Toy Lover: Small, soft toys are his favorite! He’s ready for some serious toy time followed by some serious snuggling.<br/> - Leash Pro: Detour walks well on leash and is ready to explore the world with his person.<br/> - Smarty Pants: He knows “come” and is working hard on his potty training.<br/> - Crate Trained: He already knows how to settle safely in his crate.<br/> - Car Rides? Meh.: He’s not exactly a road-trip enthusiast, but once he gets settled, he’s perfectly happy to lay down and cuddle with you.<br/> - Escape Artist Extraordinaire: Detour is tiny, determined, and apparently believes fences are merely suggestions! Because of his Houdini skills, he will need a very secure, sturdy fenced yard.<br/> - What Detour really wants: A forever family who will give him patience, security, love, and plenty of lap time. After wandering the streets, this little guy deserves to finally know what it feels like to be home.<br/><br/>Tiny body. HUGE heart. Professional cuddler. Full-time shadow.<br/><br/>Age: 1 year<br/>Adoption Fee: $500<br/><br/>MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com<br/><br/>If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training and grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
