Meet Desi<br/><br/>Desi may only be about 3 months old, but this little girl has already had quite a story. She and her sister, Lucy, were abandoned in a box and left on a woman’s doorstep. No puppy should ever begin life that way, but thankfully, that doorstep turned out to be the first stop on Desi’s journey toward something much better.<br/><br/>Desi is currently around 10 pounds and is a beautiful brown-and-white mixed-breed puppy. Since we have no information about her parents, her breed and eventual adult size are only estimates, but we believe she will likely grow into a medium-sized dog.<br/><br/>Right now, Desi is simply a baby who deserves the opportunity to grow up surrounded by love. She’ll need all the things every puppy needs—patience, guidance, continued socialization, training, playtime, and plenty of affection as she learns how to become the wonderful family dog we know she can be.<br/><br/>Desi has started her puppy vaccinations, and the rescue is working to complete her age-appropriate veterinary care, including plans for her spay.<br/><br/>Someone may have looked at Desi and Lucy and decided they could leave them behind in a box. We see something very different. We see two little lives that matter—and for Desi, we see a sweet baby girl whose real story is only beginning.<br/><br/>The next doorstep Desi arrives on should be the one she gets to call home.
