Desi

Meet Desi!

At 75 pounds and 6 years old, this beautiful Labrador mix is a BIG bundle of love with an even BIGGER personality! Desi is the kind of girl who is always ready for an adventure—but at the end of the day, she'd really prefer to be sitting in your lap. Yes, even if she absolutely does NOT fit!

Desi's Highlights:
• Kid & Dog Friendly — Desi loves having friends of all kinds!
• Cats Unknown — She hasn't had a chance to meet any kitties yet.
• Potty Trained — One less thing to worry about!
• Crate Trained — She willingly goes into her crate, although she'd much rather be right next to her people.
• Working on Leash Skills — Desi is a strong girl and can pull when she spots another dog or gets overly excited to head out the door. She's learning that patience gets her where she wants to go!
• Knows "Sit" — And she's ready to keep learning!
• Toy Enthusiast — She LOVES her toys and thinks tug-of-war is an absolutely fantastic way to spend an afternoon!
• Adventure Buddy — Car ride? YES! Exploring the great outdoors? ABSOLUTELY! Desi is always ready to see where the day takes her!
• Loves Her People — Her humans are her favorite thing in the whole world, and she really craves being close to them.
• A Little Sibling Sass — Just like human siblings, Desi doesn't always appreciate her foster siblings trying to grab her food or hog all the human attention. She'd prefer to enjoy her meals in peace and have her fair share of cuddle time, thank you very much!
• Professional Lap Dog — At 75 pounds, Desi has apparently never heard of the concept of "too big for your lap." If there's a human lap available, she WILL attempt to occupy it.
• Big Body, Bigger Heart — Desi is playful, affectionate, adventurous, and happiest when she's included in whatever her people are doing.

Desi is ready for a family who will keep working with her on her leash manners while giving her plenty of love, playtime, adventures, and—of course—lap space!

If you've always wanted a 75-pound lap dog, Desi would like to formally introduce herself!

Age: 6 years
Adoption Fee: $250.00

MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm.
