We are getting to know her, but she sure is a pretty girl. She is ready to go see the world. Does great on a leash and knows sit. She is a typical Aussie waiting for a job. Do you have a job for her to do? This one is a keeper. I could see her on AGT. Smart as can be and fun fun fun. With that said, she doesn't just want to sit around on a couch. She is ready to go. Not a good dog for seniors.<br/><br/>Derby’s December Day Out (well… morning)<br/>Sweet Derby, who is listed as a 3 year old Australian Shepard that was recently released from a breeder. She has a beautiful shiny coat and is such a nice size (around 30 pounds). <br/><br/>We were very surprised to find she was not a heavy shedder. She did well on the car ride to our home, is good on a leash, and seems very smart! The TV was new to her and she explored our finished basement. She was a little reserved at first but warmed up to my husband and I but her favorite person was our daughter, Hannah. She sat by her and eventually took a little nap right next to her. <br/><br/>Derby tested out a few toys, took treats very gently, had zero accidents in the house (it was only a few hours), and truly seemed to want to be by people. <br/>She is a sweet girl who is looking for a soft place to land where she can trust her family and be loved.<br/><br/>Dogs needing foster homes are available for adoption. This dog does need a foster home. Have you ever considered fostering a dog? For more information, visit our website.<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE: $650<br/><br/>To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION. <br/><br/>Adopters must be 24 years of age. We cannot adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. We are unable to guarantee the breeds of our dogs.<br/>WI License #270548.
