Della- HOSPICE's Story
Meet our newest oldest little lady, Della!

Quiet, sleepy, slow-moving 🦥, gentle, and sweet, this old girl may be closer to end of life than the beginning but she still has a little living left to do. She came in barely able to walk or chew food due to severe arthritis and even more severely rotting infected teeth. But after a years-overdue dental and getting started on some arthritis medications she’s perking up a bit and getting a little stronger each day. She has some early kidney disease but her heart is strong, she enjoys short strolls around the yard, and she’s eating better although prefers to be spoiled and hand fed while laying in her bed like royalty 👑. What’s better than breakfast in bed!?

Della is fine with other gentle dogs and cats and overall pretty easy to get along with, throws off no bad vibes and makes no trouble. She sleeps a lot and isn’t demanding, but does enjoy attention and cuddles. We think she’s a peke mix, at least 12 years old, already spayed and hoping to find a quiet place to be pampered and loved in her senior years, however long that may be.

Email njwoof@cs.com to open your home to Della and meet her in Northern NJ
