Meet Delilah! Delilah is a beautiful black Standard Poodle/Poodle mix with gorgeous curls, a gentle personality, and a whole lot of affection waiting for the right people!<br/><br/>Estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing 64 pounds, Delilah is a little more reserved than her outgoing companion, Dolly. New people and unfamiliar situations can make her nervous, and she's definitely not a fan of having a camera pointed in her direction! But give this sweet girl some time to feel comfortable, and you'll discover a completely different side of her.<br/><br/>We recently witnessed a wonderful example of just how affectionate Delilah can be. While she was keeping her distance from unfamiliar visitors, a volunteer she knew and trusted entered the play yard. What a transformation! Delilah immediately hurried over to greet him, leaning into his affection, showering him with love, and even putting her paws up on his shoulders for some extra cuddles! It was a beautiful glimpse of the loving, devoted companion hiding beneath that initially shy exterior.<br/><br/>Delilah came to us with Dolly, who we believe may be her sister. The two girls enjoy being together, and Delilah does seem to look to her more confident companion for comfort and reassurance when she's feeling uncertain. While we'd love to see them adopted together, it's not a requirement. We do think Delilah would benefit from having another friendly, confident dog in her new home, whether that's Dolly or a new canine companion.<br/><br/>Delilah is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and reassurance she needs to settle in and build trust. Once you've earned her confidence, you may just find yourself with a 64-pound cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to be close to you!<br/><br/>Delilah may take a little longer to give you her heart, but we think she'll be well worth the wait.
