Meet Delaney

Delaney came to us from a puppy mill. She is approximately 8 years old according to our vet. She's had her vaccinations which included rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. She was heartworm tested.
She's a small Maltese at 6 lbs but could use another pound or so. When she came into rescue she was very shy. After 2 weeks, she really came around. She can be very sweet and playful. She is good on a leash and is getting the idea of going potty outside. It's a work in progress but she seems to be a smart girl. She is good with other dogs and cats. Delaney doesn't like to be crated. It is a struggle for a while then she settles down. May be residual effects from the puppy mill. The foster mom is usually home, and she chose her spot on a blanket and settles in quietly. She wants to be with her person. She's a very nice little girl.
