People References: We also ask for personal references from individuals who can vouch for the applicant's character and suitability as a pet owner. These references provide insight into the applicant's reliability, compassion, and commitment to caring for animals. Home Check: A home check is an essential step in our adoption process. While in-person home checks are preferred, we understand that circumstances may require virtual home inspections. Regardless of the format, the purpose of the home check is to ensure that the environment is safe, secure, and suitable for the specific needs of the animal being adopted.
