Adoption Policy
We take the placement of our rescued animals very seriously. To ensure that each furry friend finds the loving and supportive forever home they deserve, we have a thorough adoption process in place. Here's an overview of what it entails:
Adoption Application: Prospective adopters are required to fill out a detailed adoption application. This application helps us understand the adopter's lifestyle, living situation, and preferences, allowing us to match them with the most suitable animal companion.
Vet References: We request vet references from the applicant's current or previous veterinarians. This helps us ensure that the applicant has a history of responsible pet care and that any existing pets in the household receive proper medical attention.
People References: We also ask for personal references from individuals who can vouch for the applicant's character and suitability as a pet owner. These references provide insight into the applicant's reliability, compassion, and commitment to caring for animals.
Home Check: A home check is an essential step in our adoption process. While in-person home checks are preferred, we understand that circumstances may require virtual home inspections. Regardless of the format, the purpose of the home check is to ensure that the environment is safe, secure, and suitable for the specific needs of the animal being adopted.
By implementing these measures, we strive to ensure that every adoption is a perfect match, benefiting both the animal and the adopter. Our ultimate goal is to place our rescued animals in loving and responsible forever homes where they will be cherished members of the family for years to come.
