Meet Declan (in Chattanooga foster)
Declan is a sweet, approx. 1 year old treeing walker coonhound looking for his furever family.
Delac gets along well with other dogs, children & all people he has met. He did great at the dog park and did not show any signs of aggression. He is mostly just playful and energetic big hound pup.
Ideally, Declan needs a family that lives in the country (he has a hound howl) or has a large fenced-in yard with a tall fence (6 ft. would be preferable). He would be happiest with an active family who would take him on frequent walks.
Declan is neutered, up to date on his shots. He is crate-trained, and has no problem spending the night quietly in his crate. Declan is not quite housebroken yet as he still has a desire to mark in the house, but his foaters are working on it and making progress.
Declan is a true hound, and wants to follow his nose so while he walks well on a leash, he needs to only be walked on a harness & with a strong partner.
Declan has a very strong instinct to "tree" or chase other smaller animals so he will need a home without cats or small critters.
