Daxon's Story

Hi, I am Daxon! I am a 2.5-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix, and I am a sweet little guy who is still figuring out this whole “being a dog” thing. I came from a high-kill shelter down South after being rescued from a hoarding situation, so the world can feel a little overwhelming to me sometimes. I am nervous at first, but underneath that shy exterior is a really sweet boy just waiting to feel safe.

Once I know I can trust you, I am a wonderful little companion. I am good with people and other dogs, and I am even great for baths! I am still learning how to be confident and enjoy all the things a happy dog gets to experience, so I will need a family who understands that I may take some time to come out of my shell. A little patience, a lot of love and a safe environment will go a long way with me.

If you are looking for a small dog who just needs someone to believe in him, I could be your guy. I am a good all-around little dog with so much potential, and I am ready to learn what it means to be part of a family. I can be cat tested upon request. I will come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6a8c55bb174d09980b04517b

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
