Meet Dasher (Dash)
Dasher (Dash) is a 10 month-old Yellow Labrador mix who came to us after being found in South Carolina. This handsome boy is neutered and chipped.
Dash is a great young dog who will make a fantastic, loyal and loving addition for a lucky family! He learns quickly, having already mastered "Sit" and "Down" and is working on "Stay". He responds to his name and to the command "No". He is crate trained at night and does a good job when left alone for short periods during the day. He hasn't been left alone for any longer periods during his stay so far. He is learning not to jump on his Foster Mom but hasn't had any issues with jumping on other family members or guests.
He loves a good treat, squeaky toys and bones. The resident 6 year-old and 12 year-old humans refer to him as "sweet" and that he "loves belly rubs". He does very well with children and has not had any issues with them. He loves them so much.
He is currently staying with two resident dogs; a 7 year-old female Yellow Lab and a 2 year-old male Black Lab mix. Dash likes to tussle with the male resident dog as he is familiar with our young dog. We have had some meet and greets with other dogs and Dash does not have the best doggie manners yet. So we feel it would be best if Dash was an only dog.
After running around, playing with his toys or wrestling he is very happy to curl up next to someone and take a long nap.
Dash would benefit from an active family or fenced yard with space for him to run and explore. Over the last month he's developed quite a sweet and loving personality so we're sure he'll do great at a new home with the right family!
