DARWIN's Story

Darwin is a big guy who's a little scared of the world. He seeks comfort from his human buds and it's impossible not to hug him and squeeze him like the baby he is when he leans his face nervously into you! This bub has come such a long way since he arrived at NHS. He's gaining confidence daily and it's so sweet to see him come into his own. He loves to gently explore on leash, always making sure you're close by. He seems housetrained and mostly ignores other dogs on walks. When it's time to relax, he loves, loves, loves to get close and cuddle. And it's hard to resist his soft coat and eternal puppy eyes. You'll be in the palm of his hand (paw?)! Darwin will need someone who'll keep helping him get comfortable in the world. He'll need to meet any potential dog siblings before going home and may do best with a lady dog. Come meet this cutie! Darwin is a Diamond Dog and will be shown by appointments or walk ins as time permits. Diamond Dogs are dogs that are currently getting extra work and training from staff and volunteers through our behavior program. If you are interested in learning more about this animal, please fill out an application by clicking here . Be sure to include Darwin A1652827 when filling out the survey.
