Darnell's Story
Oh. My. Goodness! I am so thankful to have been rescued! I'm Darnell, which means 'hidden spot', and that's pretty much where I was found. . . hiding under a barn, scared and lonely.

I'm about a year old and weigh about 30 pounds (although I probably need to gain a couple of pounds). I'm loving this cushy lifestyle, where I have a soft bed, food and kind people, but I really want my very own family. . . for keeps.

House and crate training are coming along nicely, and I'm actually not bad on my leash (after the initial excitement, of course). I get along with friendly dogs about my size, as well as dog-savvy cats. Older, respectful children are fine, but the crazy of the little ones would make me way too scared.

My forever family should have a house setting with a secure privacy-fenced yard and plenty of time and patience to help me learn all the things I need to know to be a real family member.

If you think we might be right for each other, just complete the app so we can meet:
www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/

**As a reminder, young dogs need a lot of attention. Before adopting me, please make sure that you have enough time, energy and commitment to devote to my training. Puppies need a lot of care, so everyone in your household should be on board and ready to help out**

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
