Meet Sweet Darlene 💕<br/><br/>Darlene is an almost 8-year-old Shih Tzu with a gentle soul and a heart that’s just beginning to discover the joys of being a beloved companion. After spending her life in a breeding environment, she’s now learning what it means to be a house pet—and she’s making progress every day.<br/><br/>Because everything is still so new to her, Darlene will need a patient and understanding home. She’s not quite comfortable on a leash yet and is still figuring out the routines of home life. One thing that truly helps her feel safe, though, is the presence of other dogs—she takes great comfort in having a furry friend nearby and would do best in a home with another confident, friendly pup to show her the ropes.<br/><br/>Once Darlene begins to feel safe, her personality starts to shine. She’s sweet, curious, and a little silly, with a growing excitement about the world around her. Watching her come out of her shell is incredibly rewarding—she just needs someone willing to give her the time and love she deserves.<br/><br/>Darlene’s adoption fee is $300.
