Darby Shepherd & Canaan Dog Mix Manville, NJ

My name is Darby! I am about 1.5 to 2 years old and I look like a beautiful cross between a Carolina/Canaan and Shepherd. I am not a big girl. I am 47 lbs now but need to fill out a little bit so low 50s I will be set. This is my story: I lived on a porch for most of my young life and my owners didn’t care much about giving me life’s necessities. I wandered around town and to the local grocery store often. Now I am loving the indoor lifestyle a dog should have. I am playful and I love other dogs. I am also fond of cats but I might be playful! I walk well on a leash for having very little training. I am crate trained and I have been pretty confident in meeting new people. I will make a really great family dog for people that can show me patience and lots of love and of course take me on nice walks and give me lots of petting and affection and toys (I love all three of those things a lot!). I have proven I am incredibly resilient and that old life is behind me!
