WHO CAN ADOPT • Be 18 years of age or older • Present a valid government-issued photo ID • Demonstrate the ability to provide long-term, stable care • Have the knowledge and commitment required for the animal you are adopting • Live in a home where pets are allowed (landlord approval if renting) HOUSEHOLD REQUIREMENTS • Meet-and-greet with resident pets may be required (Dog specific) • Ensure all household members are aware of and comfortable with the adoption • Home visits may be required for animals with special considerations ANIMAL-SPECIFIC NEEDS Some animals may require: • No small children • No other animals in the home • Experienced-handler homes only • Indoor-only placements for cats • Secure fencing for certain dogs
