DANDELION

Dandelion arrived at ACCT Philly as a stray on April 14, 2026 and was adopted two weeks later. However, she was surrendered on May 27th after developing a skin condition that was identified as a severe allergic reaction.<br/><br/>She is now all better (probably a chicken allergy) and now looking for her forever home.<br/><br/>Dandelion<br/><br/>Age: 4<br/>Weight: 70lbs<br/>Breed: mixed breed (american staffy)<br/>spayed<br/><br/>Good with:<br/>kids: yes, she loves kids!<br/>strangers: yes<br/>other dogs: Did well in shelter, and is currently living with other dogs. NOTE: slow intros is a must! <br/>cats: doesnt seem to be bothered, unless they run from her!<br/>on leash: prong collar is needed, pulls hard<br/>housetrained: yes!<br/>crate trained: yes!<br/><br/>Dande would do best in a home that can give her a lot of attention. preferably an active owner as she loves running and going for walks! She is also a cuddle bug, and low energy in house. unless playing!<br/><br/>Interesting quirks/behavior:<br/>-adores her person<br/>-loves to play. I recommend that only older children and adults play with her due to her size and strength!!!<br/>-treat motivated knows sit, lay down, paw, etc.<br/>-listens very well <br/>-snuggle bug<br/>-always seeking pets and affection <br/>-enjoys car rides <br/>-high prey drive, but has been around a domestic bunny with no issues!<br/><br/><br/>Dande has a severe allergy to chicken! if she eats anything that has chicken in the ingredients she will break out in hives and become extremely itchy.<br/>Dandelion is a flight risk!!! if she gets out she will run and run! Its important to always have her on a leash and closed in yard.<br/>Dande has is great with dogs but needs caution around strange dogs.<br/><br/>Dande The Diva! i call her that because thats exactly what she is, a diva!! Shes the most loving, well behaved dog i have ever had in my care. Shes loving,cuddly,playful, and trained very well i must add! Shes the whole package! Did i mention shes great with kids? She currently resides with children of all ages 2-15 years of age and shes gentle around the toddlers. She never growled or barked at a person. Besides when someone knocks on the door.
