Dakota's Story

Meet Dakota!

Dakota is absolutely breathtaking—her soft cream and gray coat, striking markings, and wolf-like appearance stop people in their tracks. Everyone who meets her says the same thing: she is stunning. But beyond her looks, Dakota has a personality just as big and beautiful.

We believe Dakota is just over a year old, still very much a young dog with lots of life and love to give. She came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of her own and is now waiting for a fresh start with someone who will truly appreciate her.

Dakota is a talker—true to her husky mix roots, she’ll happily “chat” with you and let you know how she’s feeling. It’s part of her charm and something that makes her so fun and full of personality. Dakota overall is a quiet girl though.

She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, and one of her favorite things to do is lean into her person for pets. She truly craves that connection and wants to be close to the people she loves.

Dakota is still learning her basic commands and manners, so she will need a home that’s willing to continue working with her and give her the structure she needs. She’s smart and capable—she just needs someone to guide her. She is quick to learn and is great on a leash.

Dakota does well with other dogs and enjoys being around them, but more than anything, she loves her people. She would much rather be by your side than stuck in a kennel. She thrives on companionship and connection and will do best in a home where she can be included in daily life.

This girl is the full package—beauty, personality, and potential. She just needs someone willing to take a chance on her.
