Dakota's Story
Dakota A187500
32 lb. spayed female, approx 10 months old

-Adorable little peanut! 🥹 She knows how to sit and takes treats very nicely. She enjoys getting pets and is happy to give you some sweet kisses in return.

-She's definitely more on the chill side today and isn't showing much interest in toys just yet. She may simply need a little time and a better environment to let her playful puppy personality come out.

-This sweet girl would love a chance to settle in, feel comfortable, and show you what she's all about.

-Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be!

-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30

**We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog.

**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
