Dakota Airedale Terrier Mix Madras, OR

Dakota (formerly named Sadness) came in an owner surrender as they wanted to get chickens and and they originally had raised and trained him to be a pig hunting dog and they were afraid he would kill the chickens so he was surrendered to us with Dixie. He has never lived in a home so he is not housebroken, but he can be trained . He would need to be treated like a puppy until he learns not to go in the house. We highly recommend crate training .He is very sweet and affectionate. It only takes a few mins for him to warm up to you. We don't recommend livestock since he was bred and trained to be a hunting dog. He has grown up around other dogs. Unknown history on children. He is fixed. He is a Airedale Terrier mix so shedding is minimal. He will require occasional grooming. He is 6 years old and about 80 pounds. Come on down and meet this big ol goof. He is a staff favorite, he even will smile at us.
